No, that was a turn of phrase. But, actually, it is to me (allergic  ). I was referring mostly to painkillers and anti-depressants.

Because constant pain and/or depression builds character.

I don't support quackery, either, Roger.  :lulz:

The Good Reverend Roger

The real beauty of Memnoch's statement is, of course, that he gets to make the decision.  Granted, I put him in that position, but he didn't even reference her opinion on the subject, other than her presumed obedience to his male will.

Illspag?  Oh, yeah.  Memnoch really isn't a supporter of womens' rights, either...But he's more Archie Bunker than Lester Maddox about it.

Did I ever tell you guys about the time when he said he'd rather die of a preventable illness than use public health care, on principle?

:lulz:

He did what?

Yep.  Then I asked him if he'd let his wife die in a similar situation, and he said he thought she'd understand and respect his decision.

:whack:

I'm pretty much against many types of medicine on principle, but I DO support public healthcare, because I RESPECT people's right to choose their own poison. For fuck's sake...

Not really. My view on painkillers is based on abuse of them, rather than actual use. as for anti-depressants, I'm not a fan of the side-effects that seem to come with many of them.

But again, that's all personal philosophy, rather than "nobody should take pain killers or anti-depressants EVAR!!!"

ON that note, is anything worthy of trolling going on at MW currently? I sorta feel like shitting all over Mem for not being able to make it a year in the service since I am pretty much a  whiny self-entitled product of my culture and I made it 4 years so far with fucked up knees, from basic, plus the shit that was fucked up before I joined.
