there's a peer2peer screensaver called "electric sheep" that generates images like these, but animated.

takes a lot of processortime to make them, so all computers running the screensaver calculate short loops of the animations and they share them in a p2p network.

it's called "electric sheep" because it's supposed to be the collective dream of all "sleeping" computers running this application.

i'd rather spend my lost cycles on eyecandy than that seti@home stuff :-P

Oh man, my roomie's boyfriend has that on his computer!

We occasionally just sit around and watch it while smoking the hookah. :oops:

i remember another awesome screensaver from the first (no, second) time i did shrooms

i only had half a dose, so we needed the trippy visuals for that extra punch :-P

it was something on a mac, it had lotsa spirals and did colorcycling ..

and we had a quest for a little red car ..
