Gambling sites, file-sharing networks—really, anyone trying to escape state surveillance or the tax man—were welcome.  The only data HavenCo won't house is anything to do with child porn, spamming, or terrorism.

a couple of years ago i read some statistics, about 50% of all email traffic is spam, and 90% of all spam is sent by no more than 150 different people.

i don't think it's gotten much better in the mean time.

now child pornographers are in a whole different galaxy of "wrong", but i could definitely picture those 150 ppl that are responsible for 45% of all email being junk being up there with terrorrrists.
