TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Only one of the bags was shade grown, they mark that on the hippie bags.  The cutting down forests for the extra land organic food takes is a generic problem though.

It is a problem overall, but organic coffee is one of the least problematic crops in that respect.

And not all shade-grown coffee is marked.

I worked at a roaster for 5 years, we tried to buy farm-direct whenever possible, and NONE of our coffee was marked shade-grown or rainforest-friendly, even though almost all of it was. For that matter, almost none of it was marked organic, because although the farmers we were buying from didn't use pesticides, they couldn't afford to get certified. We had ONE certified organic Guatemalan.

I wasn't a coffee specialist, although in my last year there they started bringing me into tastings and being part of the buying group. I was a tea and spice maven. :)
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

Nah, I stayed up so long to get my sleep into a normal spot.  I wasn't able to get to bed before around 6 AM for a while.  Given that I woke up at that time today, it should fix things, at least for now.

I just realized I cursed myself right here.  Part 4 is upcoming, maybe.
