This is awesome writing!   :)  I can relate to some of this stuff.  Oddly enough it doesn't presently depend on using mind-altering drugs?  What does that mean for me?  (I don't think it's flashback time, more like the present time is sorta surreal?)  Anyways, I liked this, thanks & respect.   :)
