The spamming technique these days seems to be this: spam companies will create accounts of arguably real people who consider themselves marketing geeks, who will follow people who fall into a certain grouping in terms of followed-to-following ratios, and then if they get followed in return they will start spamming via direct message.

This doesn't particularly matter to me, since I typically use twitter for an input source for more or less unpredictable and diverse data and as a way of allowing my bots to annoy facebook users.

Drag and drop it onto your bookmark toolbar (Firefox). Then highlight a twitter username (without the @) and hit the button. You'll be taken to their profile page.
