A satirical scene improved by two large groups of people, each of them playing one of the same two stock characters. This is a metaphor for American politics. You could almost believe this of the actual followers of the political parties in how theyall seem to toe the party line on all major issues, never showing any degree of individuality. if they're in favor of social welfare programs you can count on them to also be in favor of immigration, environmentalism, and abortion; and if they're against one you can count on them to be against them all, despite these things having fuckall to do with each other. I'm not just talking about the politicians here either, I'm talking about the actual voters.

Some ideas:

*A comedy where the greco-roman mystery religions are all Scientology-esque cults

*comedy skit: a guy picks up a hitchhiker and it eventually turns out that both the driver and the hitchhiker were planning on killing the other. They both have a good laugh about this. possibly they then both kill each other immediately afterward

*A very meta superhero named "Vigilante Justice Man"

*A sci-fi setting in which lots of devices have excessively humanlike and overdeveloped AIs due to the need to interact with some kind of commonly used item based on telepathy (I thought of this while thinking about how in the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy it doesn't really make sense, and is a plot hole, for Arthur to be able to read alien writing or use non-sentient voice-activated machines as they have no minds to interact with and the Babel Fish works by "excreting telepathy")

A conspiracy thriller, that's also an old school big dance number stage musical, and whose plot revolves around the conspiracy theory that Bush did 9/11. In one song and dance number a person dressed as an airplane tackles a high-kicking chorus girl dressed as 1 WTC.

A zombie apocalypse film wherein the "zombie apocalypse" is actually well contained and limited to a small area, but the news media makes it out to be a major wide-reaching catastrophe in order to boost ratings just like they always do with any new disease (remember SARS? remember swine flu and bird flu? remember that devastating worldwide ebola pandemic that happened last year in a small part of africa with no healthcare or sanitation?)

(Did I suggest this one already?) Tens of thousands of years in the  future Heaven has worn thin on the blessed dead. They have exhausted the realm of conventional pleasures and increasingly find themselves descending into Hell simply to experience something that they haven't done a thousand times before. Eventually they start importig hellish things into heaven. The realms eventually grow to be indistinguishable. I know Orphee Aux Enfers kind of touches on similar territory, but I'm thinking of heaven and hell's everyday denizens, and permanent. It should also have a Hellraiser/Warhammer type vibe to it if dome correctky.

In the off-season Santa Claus works for the CIA and/or British Military Intelligence using his skills with surveillance and breaking and entering to retrieve sensitive information and sabotage enemy installations.

A story based on Atlas Shrugged but wih a much more realistic plot in which the John Galt equivalent is actually an example of the Dunning-Kruger effect (and/or possibly grandiose delusions)

*Through some freak accident (and/or some kind of super-science whatever), the protagonist gains pheremone-based superpowers. Naturally these are completely useless for influencing humans. The main applicability of the powers turns out to be in the fields of summoning and/or repelling large swarms of insects, and farm porn.

*Horror story based around a bad pun. A man goes to a crossroads at midnight to barter his soul to the devil in exchange for success as a blues musician. Except instead of the devil it's a neo-lovecraftian type monster-god. "Zydeco, he comes".

Twist: she has drifted into another time line where New Zealand doesn't exist & all events derived from or related to it never happened. Peter Jackson is still making low-budget horror movies.

A man must prevent a time traveler from going back and preventing some major disaster because the man's mother met his father due to a chance encounter on the way home from the funeral of her original fiancee, who was killed in the disaster that the time traveler is trying to prevent, and if the time traveler succeeds the man (and implicitly many others) will be erased from history.

It starts out with The Hallelujah Chorus, but when the part where they keep repeating "King of kings (forever and ever, hallelujah hallelujah) and Lord of lords (forever and ever hallelujah hallelujah)" reaches it's crescendo it transitions into Duke of Earl (so the last repetition goes "King of kings (forever and ever, hallelujah hallelujah), and Lord of lords, Earl earl earl, Duke of earl earl earl....")
