Some non-existent organizations don't enjoy personal army requests. Also, I actually don't have their PI other than names, and I dunno how mom would feel about giving me such information.

Ugh.  This sucks, and sounds a lot like the fucktardedness I've seen in my family from time to time.  The type of thing that I hope my kids have avoided as I have, since everytime I see one of my younger brothers in peril, I try my damnedest to get them the hell out of it and damn the consequences (something that landed his ass in jail 5 years ago, or at least attributed to it).

Well, I get the feeling that this is something your parents will have to take care of, so I guess the best option of BitchD1 and BitchD2 decide to evict R & L would be to give them gas $ to get to your area and put them up and then find them assistance.  And/or do that from where you guys are for their area.

What a crock of shit--and you shouldn't feel guilty bringing it here.  I know when my dad was arrested and when my husband dying, this sort of thing--sharing the wealth of the misery--helped ease the burden tremendously.

And thanks, everyone, for the sympathy, support, suggestions, etc. Currently we are investigating the possibility of letting Apple Inc. know that D1 used company time and resources to hack into the computer she stole from them and gave to T & R. It's the only way she could have gotten into their files.

You could call your grampa and play the smart, young whippersnapper card on him.

Explain to him the truth basically: that you're familiar with technology and "how these things work" and that a stolen computer that was used by god knows who and for what purpose can't be trusted.

I would also point out that thievery; an actual crime where D caused someone a loss and therefore; created a victim, is a little worse from a moral standpoint than watching two adults engage in a consensual, legal act where no one gets hurt.
