I apologise if this has been posted here already, but seriously, how can this even exist?

They have combined every bad musical genre. It's like they've gathered everything I hate about the modern world and turned it into a song.
I listened to the whole thing. I was frozen in place, staring at the screen with a look of absolute terror.
Only when the torture was over did I regain full control of my limbs...
It might be a while before I can click another YouTube link.

So much positive feedback on that shit.
Why do so many things in the world make me feel like I am the victim of an elaborate troll?

WHHHHURURURRLWRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGHHHHHH!!!

:lulz:

no really the screaming shit has, and always will just crack me up. same for the doom metal and other genres where it actually belongs, btw. I used to piss off my previous girlfriend to great lengths by providing commentary such as "and this particular scream is quite unique, in the sense that it captures the raw emotions of when the main singer entered the studio and discovered the drummer banging on his wife, while they accidentally had left the mic on" -- just like with crying babies in public transport, it's just so much more funny when you come up with your own stories as to why they are screaming.

INFORMATION SO POWERFUL, YOU ACTUALLY NEED LESS.

I must say, though. I enjoy the parts where he screams at the girl, with his mouth a few centimeters away from her head. I keep expecting him to unhinge his jaw and try and eat her whole.

Yeah, back in my day the musical geniuses were producing such unforgettable quality classics as "Whoop, There It Is" and "Insane In The Membrane".

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

Jasper

It's very much the sort of thing I'd expect to hear on Top 40, but for all that it's pretty listenable.

East Coast Hustle

what? you hear death metal screams mixed in with autotuned dance pop in top 40 music?

I got the sense that they were doing it for shits & giggles, not as a serious musical endeavor.

Those are not death metal screams, they're screamo screams.

There's an ENTIRE GENRE of this shit (which unfortunately doesn't have enough screams, mostly). It's called crunkcore, and I fucking love it. The lyrics invariably suck, which makes it better.

I'll snatch up some highlights.

Just a note -- two bands -- Scene Kidz and Dot Dot Curve (technically the same band except DDC is sans the fat chick) use the autotune pretty creatively, it sounds really ... noisy. It nearly turned me off when I first heard it, but I like it better than normal autotune now.

Also check out Hollywood Undead (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6cHFdGBmBEw) and 3OH!3 (too lazy to get a link for them) who are better musicians overall, not as funny, and only tangentially connected to the genre.

And if you ever want more of this sort of music, ask me. I am probably the only human being devoted to gathering every goddamn song I can get my greedy mitts on in this genre.

East Coast Hustle

you oughtta check out Attack Attack!

(exclamation point is part of band's name, not added for emphasis)

be sure to listen all the way through as they switch genres several times, including once that will make you stop and go "...what the FUCK?"

also, I'm pretty sure they're singing about Jesus.

I know all about them. I have one similar but (IMO) cooler. Bionic Ghost Kids. SERIOUSLY, they are awesome. And with a band name like BIONIC FUCKING GHOST KIDS, how can it be bad?

EDIT: Their best song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JMSb_ZQ4jWE
