One of the local health organizations that we partner with (read: they give us money to do stuff) invited us to do this excursion/retreat.  Gotta play the local politics and go along so they continue to partner with us. (read:  help keep me employed).

Me too.  One of our assignments ahead of time was to read a chapter of a book for the mini book-club thingy we're gonna have at the retreat.  So far, the book isn't very mooving.
