Standoff at Honduran protest; govt suspends rights

Pfft, that's a smelly third world country. Civil liberties are sacred in America, they would never be subject to that kind of abuse.

This has been brewing for a while, if I don't miss my guess.  I heard a podcast on this last week.  It's really fucking sad.

The Honduran junta has a lot of sympathizers in places like the Wall Street Journal and the Washington Post.  Apparently, they had to suspend freedom to defend it.

Hm...npr.org has their podcasts--when I have time I'll dig--I suscribe through my iTunes on Talk of the Nation and that's where it was at--from last week sometim.
