Primordial are a band from Ireland, and their last album, "To The Nameless Dead" has a lot of political-type content that I think you would enjoy.  Or at least, some of the themes remind me of things you've talked about in the past.

They're a good fucking band.  They're touring the states this fall, unfortunately they aren't coming very close to Maine.
