IT'S NOT COLD ATM FRED

WE DON'T GET SNOW, JUST MUDSLIDES AND RAIN, THEN THE WHOLE STATE BURNS DOWN IN SUMMER

ALSO BEARS AND EARTHQUAKES

Remind me who thought it was a good idea to live in California in the first place? I'd like to buy that person a drink for being the best salesman EVAR.
Oh, please. It's not that bad. Aside from the smog and the people, it's a nice enough place. Or it is right here. On a clear day the entire eastern horizon is mountains for 45*.  :D
Plus, I don't miss Denver's snow.

None of that earthquake shit.
Depends on where you live. Where I live, I can count the number of tremors I've felt in the last 12 years I've been here on one hand. But I'm insulated by two chains of mountains (if you count the Coastal Range as a chain--I don't; they're glorified hills)

That's even worse! In addition to earthquakes, wildfires, landslides, smog, bears, and people, do you know what else you have in Calipornia?

You have Los Angeles. And motherfucking Death Valley. Death Valley. What the cockshit is this fuck? Like I said, whoever managed to convince people that CA was prime real estate and that they should totally spend lots of money to live there was a hell of a salesman. I bet it was "Bob".

Dysnomia

that's only idiots who don't live in houses up to code Suu.    or who live in hugeass cites like SF.

DEATH VALLEY

IT'S A VALLEY OF DEATH
It's all fun and games, till someone gets herpes.

I like the bay area and fully intend to move there for school.

Though LA is reason enough not to move here, not to mention Bakersfield. Also Barstow and Lancaster.

Bustin' CA's balls is so easy now that we have shit economy.

That aside, I can't imagine living where humidity gets past 30%, hurricanes and fucking twisters leave nothing but sticks and toilets left on the ground, and you don't have Mexico or waves and waves of grapevines if you drive for 3 hours straight in any given direction.

I could leave the desert though.  Everything else I love.  The desert, not so much.

Yeah, I have in-laws in LA and Barfstoad and cousins in the IE.  I like to make them come to ME, however.

Corvidia

"Barfstoad"? I love that.  :D

Mm, well, we have trouble getting them to come up here. It's only marginally better here, really.

I have that fight with my SF in-laws.  I'm in San Diego, they're in San Fran...so we just wage a little "you come this way," "no, you come THIS way" war every year.

Corvidia

Which can be solved by playing paper-rock-scissors. ;)

We're not a very close family, so a phone call usually suffices well enough. No long trips to see relatives who give me Sean Hannity: Culture War or some such shit for Christmas.

It's a bone-chilling 93F here, right now.  It was almost down to 80F this morning.

Brrr.

better turn on the heater and bundle up in a blanket with some hot coffee/chocolate/tea Roger!  Be careful not to venture much outside as we wouldn't want you to catch your death in that horrible cold.

Bad winter last year.  I think there was even frost once.

Here, the snow stays where it belongs...on the surrounding mountains, looking all pretty.
