I liked how they introduced her, like "her mother died in an insane asylum thinking she was Queen Victoria" and my thought was, I like where I think this is going. I was not disappointed.

It has my brother and my mom too. My sister brought it home from work but she never became symptomatic (the girl never gets sick, EVER). And my dad had it already back in the 70s so they think he's immune.

I had my youngest in the ER last Wednesday.  The school sent him home because he was running a temperature.  They told us in the ER that they weren't even running H1N1 tests unless the patient was critical.  When she asked about what all the kids had passed around in the last 6 months, she said we all probably had a mild case of the shit already and thought it was a stomach flu.

it had my friend last week, and one of man-whore's friends a couple weeks ago.  Also, now ex-boyfriend's dad.

My friends in health care (for some reason I have a whole bevy of girls who are either PhD, MPH, or in medical research :?) are saying that in Portland, all cases of flu are currently assumed to be swine because there have been so few cases of regular seasonal flu and so many cases of H1N1. That's basically the only flu that's going around.

I'm super-worried about my friend because the last I heard from him, a week and a half ago, was "we can't come over because my son has a fever".
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

That's how my son was "diagnosed" too, Nigel.  It was basically a default.  Only one flu going around, so if you have one, it's H1N1.

We got the vacc today--all 4 of us.  Woo.  So now it's just enteroviruses that will get us this year.  Hooray.
