What have you been working on to get your memory sharpened? I'm just curious.

Justice moved my maker on high.
Divine power made me, Wisdom supreme, and Primal love.

It's a bit tricky to explain, but basically, "Mnemonics on steroids".
- So the New World Order does not actually exist?
- Oh it exists, and how!
Ask the slaves whose labour built the White House;
Ask the slaves of today tied down to sweatshops and brothels to escape hunger;
Ask most women, second class citizens, in a pervasive rape culture;
Ask the non-human creatures who inhabit the planet:
whales, bears, frogs, tuna, bees, slaughtered farm animals;
Ask the natives of the Americas and Australia on whose land
you live today, on whose graves your factories, farms and neighbourhoods stand;
ask any of them this, ask them if the New World Order is true;
they'll tell you plainly: the New World Order... is you!

For some reason I believe only three numbers, repeated in similar patterns, would be tougher:

Nice try, but really, you've given me 3 numbers to remember, the rest are in a simple pattern, so I won't bother wasting my time with this, if you don't mind.

looks like one (really big) number to me.

it's 1-9 x 2, then 123476589, then 1-9 x 2, pretty simple.

I was going to do this, but I decided against it.
For starters, that's more then 40 characters, secondly, that's just stupid.

Even if I did remember it and say it outloud you'd probably have a hard time following how many I said and how many there are.

my bad - i wasn't really counting the characters.  i thought it might be hard to keep track of how many times you've said "1" while saying "1" that many times. thus making it hard to remember.

i got a hunch that lots of repeats will be harder because you'd have to remember a) the number and b)how many times to repeat it.  throwing in the occasional "oddball" i think makes it even harder.  cuz then you have to remember which oddball comes up all the way through the repeats.  although, maybe the oddball helps the memorizer in a way, also.

that's only 2 numbers, in a AABAA pattern, then, right?

It really doesn't make it very hard to remember, I will still know in what place the 0 belongs in a bunch of 1's. If you kept it under 40 digits I'd have done it.

only if you want to - youtube is blocked, so i'd have take your word for it anyway.  i'm more interested if you think certain "styles" of number strings are easier or harder to memorize, or does your method defeat this?

also - can you remember them for very long?  i.e. could you commit the number to memory, then, say read a magazine article, and then recite the number?

just curious.

umn, I remember learning the numbers for japanese a while ago, but its been kinda a long time and I (ironically) forgot.

I'll do your number in about 6 hours, I just checked how much I downloaded when uploading videos, and I'm nearly capped now so I don't want to go over and lost my internuts for a week.

That goes for anyone else posting now, don't expect a quick response to your requested number for at least 6 hours.

Well I might in a couple of hours.

And really, I don't think it really makes a difference what numbers you use or how often they repeat, my system is such that I'll be able to remember any digit in any location of a string of 40 characters.

Quotealso - can you remember them for very long?  i.e. could you commit the number to memory, then, say read a magazine article, and then recite the number?

just curious.

Depends if I want to remember the number for long. If I learn a new number, it will stay in my head all day as long as I don't try and learn another new number.

I use something called "memory rooms", and I have a special room for remembering temporary numbers, that will stick in my head even after I've read a book or a magizine or played video games, or in the case of me performing, at the end of a show, if I get the number at the start of the show.

If I for some reason need to remember the number for a good long time, I'll simply create a new memory room and put that number in there and revise it once a day for a few days in order to lock it into my mind.

Thru a small exersice of observation, you seem to stumble every 16 digits.

Then you stumbled a bit on the 33st and 34nd.

So upon this evidence i derive that you memorize in arrangements of 8 characters.

Edit: Good job btw  :mrgreen:
