WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO WITH YOUR LIFE?

I want to have a job where I feel like I'm making some sort of positive impact and surround myself with people that I trust and adore. I also want to at least sit down and WRITE the books I've been wanting to write for years so I can get them the fuck out of my head.

And I want to travel and see the world so I can have the experience. I kind of want to use a door at some point that's older than my country. That would be awesome.

And, y'know. Not be so much of a pussy, that'd be cool too.

Not doing the first one because I can't find that sort of job yet, and I'm working on part two. I'm not doing the third thing because I'm a slacker and the fourth is because I has no monies. As for number five? Eh. I've got no excuse for that one.

I'm in school, working on my undergrads for a Ph.D in cognitive sciences.   With it I plan to do research; My goal is to work on a unified theory of mind that transcends species, and help develop machine consciousness.  I've come to a point where no other long term goals in life matter to me, except for short term happiness goals ranging from booze and sex, to meaningful friendships and moderate altruism.  Obviously.

I want to make video games. I currently have accomplished NOTHING toward this goal except for failing a Digital Animation course at the local Technical Institute and playing lots of video games.

STOP BEING A FUCK UP AND APPLY YOURSELF!

If you can't apply yourself to digital animation try your hand at art/design, marketing or programming. If you can't do any of this, start looking for something else.
