Not to pull the hey I thought of it first card, but that was my first reaction about the "I was raped by Charles Manson at a drug-fueled orgy" thing.

But I didn't post it, because I was having a hard time of coming up with a way of saying, "Really? You were at a drug-fueled orgy with a charismatic cult leader, and... wait, where am I going with this? Could it be that you, as an aging former drug-using orgy-going cult-member, are simply embarrassed to tell your long-lost son that you conceived him by having totally consensual sex with a charismatic mass-murdering cult leader (or at least, with someone, or several someones) at a drug-fueled orgy?" that wouldn't seem unsympathetic to innocent young girls who actually ARE raped by charismatic cult leaders when they accidentally attend drug-fueled orgies.

This one time I was with this guy who happens to be kind of a cult leader, and he was like "Hey baby, do you want to do a bunch of cocaine and some LSD and get together in a room full of people who will all be having indiscriminate sex with everyone else?" and I was like "cool" but once we got there I was all "oh wait, I'm slipping into unconsciousness, hold on a minute" and he was all "cool" and then I was a zombie.

Not really, but what the hell? Maybe it's just the sensationalism with which it was reported, but there is something about the whole story that may tend to cause even the most sensitive and politically-correct past rape victim to be a tad bit skeptical.
