Mädler Patch for Discordian Calendar

Dear Madam or Sir!

May I direct your attention to the work of Johan Heinrich von Mädler.
Please note the Umlaut, it is important in finding his work.

Under Windows, you can type «ALT+0228» to get «U+00E4». If you have
AllChars for Windows, this will be easier: In Emacs lingo, type «C " a»,
e.g., use the CTRL key as a prefix like ESC instead as a modifier like
SHIFT as you are used to.

He suggested the Czar a patch for the Julian Calendar in 1864 that is even
more exact than the Gregorian Patch.

This is now largely forgotten.

The idea is to drop a leap year every 128 years instead of the Gregorian
rule of dropping three within four centuries.

It fits nicely into the digital age as well.

And it is a perfect match for the un-discordian regularity of the
Discordian Calendar.

Date: 2009-11-20, ddate: Prickle-Prickle, 32nd Aftermath, YOLD 3175,
ISO-like: Prickle-Prickle, YOLD 3175-5-32.

Kind regards

Umm, actually when I type it without the umlaut I seem to be able to find his stuff just fine.  http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=johan+heinrich+von+madler&aq=f&oq=&aqi=

And it is a perfect match for the un-discordian regularity of the
Discordian Calendar.

Irregularity does not equal discord.
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

No, no, Nigel, he's a REALLY REALLY REAL DISCORDIAN FOR REALNESS, and he's going to show us all how it's done.

It seems Old Skool.

We should give the spag a modicum of respect.

Ok, now that we've gotten past the moment, DO SOMETHING PRODUCTIVE WITH YOUR TIME!

I find it really funny that so many Discordians use the Discordian calendar.

That is kind of hilarious, actually.

Look, asshole:  Your 'incomprehensible' act, your word-salad, your pinealism...It BORES ME.  I've been incomprehensible for so long, I TEACH IT TO MBA CANDIDATES.  So if you simply MUST talk about your pineal gland or happy children dancing in the wildflowers, go talk to Roger, because he digs that kind of shit

I didn't know it actually existed.  I thought people just made up dates.

Like today is "Goatfelcher 4th".

I would approve of that more highly.

Not that anyone should necessarily care what I do or don't approve of.

Well, it just makes sense, right?  No need to keep track of a made-up calendar, plus you get to vent a little bile.

Anything that relieves bile build up is a plus.
