I liked how they introduced her, like "her mother died in an insane asylum thinking she was Queen Victoria" and my thought was, I like where I think this is going. I was not disappointed.

So I gave up...

...teh herb.

Three things have inspired this:

1. My desire for employment that pays enough money for a car and an education (for it's own sake.).

2. A quote from TGRR (Rest his soul), "Makes me stop hating people." Paraphrased. I've been far too passive since I turned 18. There are things everyday, and things over the course of years, that deserve my horrible, horrible attention. They have slipped passed me without receiving the mauling they deserve. No more.

3. RWHN's arguments in the LEGALIZE IT thread. They were compelling and sensible, and while I don't agree with legislation that affects people's intake of substance that doesn't make them think they're bullet-proof, I still feel as though there's something better. For me and my kids.

As an added bonus: Noticed my increased productivity the last few days? Yeah.

Congratulations. I kicked smoking regularly in 2003 (both pot and cigs). It was probably one of the best choices I've ever made.

Well shit if it's driving up content like you've been posting it's a great thing.

Maybe I should take it up, then quit it to see if I'll content spike.

I've never partaken of the herb, and actually other than four cigarettes I've had nothing "harder" than alcohol.

EoC, you are the bane of my existence.

EoC doesn't make creepy.

EoC makes creepy worse.

I have been CRAVING herb, at the very least, but I think that's just because I need an escape during the week.

Not like I'm gonna get any, anyway, so I'm not ashamed of saying I want it.

Suu: Thanks.

EoC: Also, thanks. And, through the years of various "spiritual" and creative practices, I would constantly get these GREAT IDEAS and then promptly forget them. It's definitely harder to write fictions. There are so many little things, small twists and turns in plot and character that I am tired of losing. It's very frustrating. But what's worse is that it makes the frustration go away as well.

I've noticed that the end result of pot is LESS creativity.

I had funnyfail when I mentioned that. It was an advert for working in Glacier Bay on the Tucson craigslist postings.

I've heard wonderful things about working in Glacier Bay...

....From hippies.

For the record: IT IS DIFFICULT.

Especially at night before bed when I'd like to be done thinking for the day.
I've also noticed waking up with a clenched jaw and an all-day headache.

It's a sad thought, but I think the effect of it is just to make you think your ideas are great.

I stopped smoking regularly after graduating university so i could get a job.
My findings were:
it was significantly easier than i expected.
a little extra cash in my pocket.
no friendship statuses changed.
it now takes barely anything to achieve the same effect that it used to (teeny one hitter, rather than bong)
i am now significantly pickier when i do pick some up.  it has to be crunchy and white, or i'm 'meh, no thanks'.

Another, albeit minor, difficulty is it's large availability and high quality in my area.
I'm already pretty picky, but I don't really have to be. I, in a fully hypothetically and fictional way, know WAY too many hippies with nothing to do but cultivate, cultivate, cultivate. Hypothetically.
