Wow, I'm so glad to hear that my thread is also being dragged through this retarded drama.

mm sorry about that, Felix :(

it was just something I really needed to get off my chest and I did so at the first opportunity without paying attention where I put it.

you want it split? never split a thread before, but I figure it can't be too hard :)

Splitting a thread requires black candles, the horn of a narwhal, the beard of a mountain goat, salt from the shores of the Dead Sea, and, well, mod access.

It never was.

Speaking of identity, I've been a confirmed Discordian for about %40 of my life and I've never really done anything about it in meatspace (AKA real life).  And in that other life, I'm just another pretty face.  Quiet.  Occasionally says something thoughtful.  Like a nicer version of Silent Bob, someone once told me.  That thread on Doubling that Cain did recently makes me wonder if I've developed a secondary identity within Discordianism.  In hindsight, I don't recognize the person I used to be, but the person I am online has changed even more.
I'm curious by what you mean by doing "anything about it in meatspace" - do you mean, like, putting up posters, or engaging people in whatever you think of as Discordian themes of conversation?

If your offline and online personalities were bound more closely together, which do you think would change the most, and in which direction?  Which would you want to change?  Not trying to play guru, just curious, I haven't really thought about those questions myself, either.

Jasper

Interesting question!

I'd probably have started a 'cabal' of some kind, or at least gotten in contact with more local Discordians.  I'd probably have spent more time showing the world what monkeys they all are, and generally making more of a fuss about life in general.
