As for the sun, it does you know. But not for long. The elders do tell of a giant Sky Beatle (I think its Ringo FYI) pushes it up there when it disappears in the western sky after his chore of rolling the sun 'cross the heavens, and when it rises again, in the north (obviously) it briefly shines out of his Messianic bung hole, before the Holy Sky Beatle carries on his daily journey to illuminate the good people of the earth with His Infinite Joy.
