What about a game of Civilization 4 ???

Duration will be at least 15 hours.

i have that game but have no clue how to play against other people in it  and what is BtS

BtS is the second add-on "Beyond the Sword". It brings lots of new units and technologies and can be downloaded. Or else we can play without it, it's still awesome then.

Civ4 is turn-based. If humans play against each other, it's still turn-based, but all players do their turns simultaneously. Otherwise it would take too long.

For those who don't know that game: You choose one out of many civilizations which all have unique characteristics. The game starts 4000 BC, you build cities, enlarge your territory, do science (watch all technologies), have religions (buddhism, hinduism, judaism, christianity, islam, taoism, confucianism) and spread them, you have many diplomatic options (open boarders, trade ressources, defense pacts, ...), you can build a lot of military units to take over cities or make diplomatic pressure or do holy war etc...
It's a game for those who like to play god.

I am going to host a game which can be joint in the "Multiplayer => Internet" menu.

sounds fun but my my copy is...creatively acquired. and everything turns black after 2 hours of playing and i have to close and re open
