It fucks with your head.  I've heard people discuss traits in others and suddenly pull a "WTF, I do that too." Makes you wonder how many peope act out of sort just ebcause they never clued in better.  Also brings to mind my autistic buddy who has learned a lot of interaction protocol by rote.  It's facinating to talk over interpersonal situations or office politik with him, since you can work with the details as if they were for a RPG, or how to program an alarm clock.

Anyone ever think about how Richter inhabits the same reality as you and just scream and scream and scream, but in a good way?   :lulz:

What I took away from the KD effect:  The brain is your enemy, it wants to trick you into acting like a lifeform.  It must be subverted.

This is exaclty what I've been thinking of when I mention "Blind spots" in our self view / metacognition.

I have no blind spots, at least that I can see.

This may go a long way for philosophy! Fascinating!

BTW Nigel I can't help but read any post you make in Nigel Ficke's voice, with that lollipop-nursing demigod standing right behind every one of them.

This makes me incredibly happy, and also makes me need to go watch the video again.
