TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

Nice.

To yours, as well.

This thread reminds me of something I wrote about a month ago: http://www.principiadiscordia.com/forum/index.php?topic=24524.0

Oh, yeah, that.  Fucking awesome.  Hit a chord in my bitterness gene.

The wonderful part is that we can all be artists. We all have the capacity to produce something, it's just a matter of looking inside and outside as well.

Cool.  :)
As for the OP, there's probably nothing new LEFT, everybody has to borrow.
What I can't stand is the slide from people who honed their music in crappy clubs to the soccer-mom spawn they grab and hype. I mean, it all happened in the space of my own lifetime. If I hear one more brat "singing" about kiling some guy or trashing his truck in a fit of butthurt for DARING to cat around on her, I'm gonna puke.

Loretta Lynn wouldn't have done that. She'd have written "Fist City" or "You Ain't Woman Enough" and publicly humiliated the guilty parties for DECADES.

Loretta Lynn end-gamed country music when she sang "Portland" with Jack White.

The video is more than a little disturbing, and makes me want to drink all the bourbon.
