anyway the pic of that hole reminded me a lot of last week's Dr Who episodes, Hungry Earth.


I wonder if it's a good or a bad thing my morning newspaper didn't carry this event? Checking the article now to see what's up/happened,
ah seems they did cover it. They just didn't care to mention the giant sinkhole, or publish the awesome picture. So for me it went "big natural disaster halfway across the world. 113 people died. halfway across the world. that sucks, but what you're gonna do?" -- is that a wrong way to react?

Especially since I was a littlebit disappointed in my newspaper on the lack of peculation to the reasons why Germany's president suddenly stepped down yesterday.

Amazing. It's all but perfectly round. I wonder how deep it is and if there is an underground lake or river at the bottom.

Looks like it's a sinkhole from mining. I saw the same sort when I was in Poland. You get these slight shifts and overnight a house disappears.
