Thanks so much, Pixie. I was worried there for a bit... Usually, when I start posting somewhere I'm either the only person with a problem of some sort, or one of two or three. I can understand why people would be sensitive, but usually I'm the only one I have to worry about being sensitive, and I try to provide a positive example to spread the idea that people with a serious illness aren't bad people, and try to get them to understand.

I should have expected Principia Discordia to have likeminded people around, but I never expected it to be an issue.

I take it you guys have had trouble with this sort of thing in the past?

LMNO

Well, it's sort of a glitch in the system.

Some people who first post here try their best to prove how "wacky" they are.

They try way too hard, and it's just kind of boring.  But they won't shut up.

And then, a lot of them feel disenfranchised, and start glorifying insanity as a sort of divinely-inspired drug trip.

As you can see, those of us here who actually have experienced insanity don't take to kindly to such things.

Once a month, like fucking clockwork.  Sometimes they come in hordes, like retarded Mongols.

Hmmm... I see.

Yes, I can see how that would be annoying. My personal view of it is that it can be a bit of a mixed blessing. Obviously, we wouldn't be how we are if our brain structure were just a tad bit different, there are advantages, and some extreme disadvantages, that go along with it. It can't be ascertained yet just what those are, only speculated upon, but people are learning more about it.

In the end, I'd rather be without it, but sadly, that's not an option. I'm sorry that I acted like one of those people... I'm actually still doing it, might be something I have to adjust over time, but, perhaps I will be a better person because of it.

There's nothing divine about it, but I feel that, as long as I'm stuck with it, I should try and enjoy the positives, and find ways to work around the negatives.

And Dok, I'm reading the "total madness" thread... I see what you mean... I think it's starting to dawn on me.

You know what we need, don't you? A Great Wall of PD. :lulz:

Like some kind of memorial for noobs slain by the sinister trolls lurking in this forum?

Juana

It's not them being slain so much as them running into a wall of spikes. Seriously. They do it all themselves.

No, to keep the retard Mongols out! :lulz:

Fujikoma

Closing it off may very well keep the mongols out... But it won't let new and interesting people in... Plus, I get the impression that ya'll enjoy stomping on them, but I could easily be wrong.

EDIT: Ah... Perhaps until they're approved by a moderator, or by vote or something, they're locked off to posting in a specific portion of the forums. The rules are simple. Survive the trolls, impress some people with your input, and you find your way out of the maze, over the wall, through the gateless barrier, whatever retarded metaphor you want to use. Fail, and you remain troll food until you either give up, or adapt... This way, retarded mongols will be kept somewhere where they cannot do much damage, could still auto-approve accounts, and people could troll noobs to their heart's content...

Though... I have no idea how difficult it would be to alter the forums in such a way, so I'm just talking out of my ass here... Might be stupid, I don't know... When you say a "great wall", I really have difficulty understanding what you mean, or how you intend to implement it. A multiple choice test of some sort, perhaps?

LMNO

Nah, the easiest thing to do is cockslap them when they show up.  Might be annoying sometimes, but it allows the most freedom of movement.

Naw.  Sink or swim.

This is the 21st Century...there's no TIME for acclimatization.

Was a joke.
