I haven't seen the movie, just the The Daily Show interview.  My only bone to pick is with the "They use 596 chemicals!" line.  That statement is meaningless, and plays on people's fears of chemistry as the glowing green toxic waste barrels in Batman cartoons.

The number of chemicals is irrelevant.  What matters is what those chemicals are and in what concentration.

I'll bet you anything he included 'water' as one of the chemicals used.
