Happy 235th birthday to the USMC and 30th birthday to ME.  :)
Name rings a bell. Do you post on Yahoo Answers, with the same name?
(Happy Birthday, Frosty)

Not necessarily. Anyone who is a Marine or wants to be a Marine will invariably include Semper Fi somewhere in their online names. It's kinda their thing.

Not true.  I know at least 2 former marines that don't mention it.

My son just enlisted in the Marines, and I think he'll be the same.  He's too cynical to buy into anything...He'll do the job, I'm sure, but he won't make a religion out of it.

On the other hand, I know Air Force guys that still identify with the Air Force 10 years after their 3 year hitch.  I also know that I used to talk about the army too much.

Kinda depends on the person. I think that it's just likely I've run into a lot of Marine pride.

Naw, lots of Marines are like that.  It's not a bad thing, but definitely an identifying trait.  The Marines have a lot more esprit de corps than the other branches, probably because the corps is so small, and also because their training is a HELL of a lot more intense and in depth than the other branches.  From what I've seen, their WORST state of discipline is on par with the army's BEST.

As an army vet, it pains me to no end to admit that, but the Truth is the Truth.

You ever run into prior service Marines that ended up in the Army. They no end of a source of amusement.

Yeah, I worked with two of them.  Damn fine troops, but they were constantly disgusted.   :lulz:

As long as the IP resolves back to whichever proxy you crawled out from behind, then it's efficient modding. Ruby always Trolled far better than you anyway. Which is totally irrelevant now, seeing as you're both fucking banned. But In my opinion,  Ruby was a far better class of Troll than you. And more intelligent. Not that that's very hard. I'm just saying it how it is. And  to piss you off.   :fap: :fap: :fap: :fap: :fap:  :fnord:

As one of PD's resident Anarchists, I am quite happy not to debate Anarchy in this forum ever again. I did a couple of times, and although it didn't get as messy as it could have done, I wasn't changing anyones mind about the subject, (which wasn'treally what I wanted to do anyway) and nobody managed to move me to take a less extreme attitude towards my utter contempt for (UK)
Politics.
I started a thread on the subject that went on far too long, but ECH answered first, and summed it up perfectly. I think he said something like "Great. Go and tell the Anarchists" But it was too late by then. Thread was posted. In retrospect, I should have gone and told the Anarchists. But they're all such a shiftless bunch of Crustys in the UK, I know the discourse wouldn't have gone any better. So now I try not to mention the "A" word, unless I want to be contentious. Which isn't what I'm here for.

You guys would have better luck if you'd organize.

. You guys would have better luck if you'd organize.

We spent the 1980's getting organised, and militant, marching, rioting, and getting our fucking heads cracked, getting jailed, and generally fucked over. What makes me sad is that none of the young 'uns today have got that fire in their bellies, and the only fight they've got in them, is on the way home from the Pub on a Saturday night. (And they can't even make a good job of that!) So fuck 'em. I'm not sticking my neck out too far these days. I'm done with that.

Death

Hay, I'm Death.
1. I'm 17 as of November 27th and getting younger every year. Living in Southern Illinois, and not hating it.
2. I'm in school, taking everything a day at a time.  Doing my best to do my best.
3. I fight with foam(Dagorhir) and read and play trumpet in bands and orchestras.  I sing in choir and write and play table top RPG.  I drink and smoke and party.  I love to work out, debate and argue.  I love learning about everything and experiencing all that life wants to throw at me.  Especially the terrible shit, I become better from it.  I'm a generally a good person but I love to fuck with people.  Was vegetarian for 2 and 1/2 years and trying to go back to eating meat as of like two weeks ago.  It's not easy.  I don't like teenagers and don't spend very much time with them outside of time at parties or whatever.  When people meet me they generally assume I'm 19-20.  It's lonely, but I don't mind.
4. I think a lot, philosophically.  I'm very politically inclined.  I'm interested in a lot of stuff, but I also don't like a lot of things.
5. Phox introduced me, as of three days ago.  Much love for that. :)  The sermons in the pamphlets pulled me in a lot.  I come here hoping for some general intelligence amongst the general population, some decent trolling, and interesting things to talk about.

I dress up for my foam fighting.  I'm a fire goblin named Silly :)

I'm a shark.

I dye my hair green every March.

Welcome Death,

Hate to point it out but until you're 20 you're a teenager too. But if Phox is vouching for you, you're cool in my book. I look forward to your presence here.
