the cigar doesn't really look very good, I think you need to check a few pictures. You also need to sharpen the edge of the chin, it sort of blurs into the neck now, especially on the right side.

Yeah, the cigar was an afterthought but the rule I set myself was - no references - so I just kinda scribbled it in. Hardest bit was the snarl which still isn't right but I'm pretty pleased with the way the rest of it fitted together. Anatomy is a cunt of a thing but I'm getting to the point where I'm happy with faces. Next thing is bodys which are a whole new level of fucked up

I think the snarl's pretty good though. You got some freedom with that because it's a bit of a cartoon character.

Like, I mean, the mouth's not in a place that would be anatomically possible, I think.

But the important bit about cartoonish images is that you can get away with that shit, as long as it's because you're exaggerating the feature that's important. And the snarl is important.

In fact, I'd almost say if you're not exaggerating shit in a cartoon, you're doin it wrong.
