You're progressing at an impressive rate!

Thanks! Lot of seemingly unrelated stuff I've picked up over the years is coming together. Plus the sculpting software means I can churn out shit like this in half a motherucken hour! Nothing else is as fast as this. Is like steroids for practice.

My body anatomy is still sketchy as hell but it's headed in the right direction. Heads and faces, tho, I'm getting confident as fuck with now. Spent the best part of six months learning the piss out of that. Still make the odd mistake but is all little stuff now and every time I spot one it gets more dialled in.  By summer bodies will hopefully be the same deal.

This was fun as hell to watch!  When I saw you first spraying the 'grey matter' I immediately thought of pre-cooked chicken nuggets. I can't wait for this technology to mature but I love the early adopters.  I know you've worked in ...zbrush, iirc? This looks very similar so I imagine it was an easy transition.

I haven't used zbrush but blender sculpt mode is the same idea.  Transition was a bit weird cos all the tools look the same but they're used totally different in vr.  Imagine if you went into a garage and found out that wheel nuts were now used to loosen and tighten the monkey wrenches which hold  the wheels on. Bit of a mindfuck but very intuitive.

I'm thinking Renaissance. One of the aspects of that artistic period that always appealed to me was the use of/hiding of occult symbolism in so many of the works. Sacred geometry, depictions of archetypes, the whole nine yards. VR can do this. I already sign my public releases with a small pentagram, usually hidden away somewhere that maybe no one will ever know is there. I actually drew it, like in the rituals, at arms length, real size.

By this time next year I'll progress from creating objects to creating places to be and that's the real transformative artform that VR enables. Right now I could make my sculpts in anything from flatscreen to IRL and the experience would be pretty similar between formats but the next step is to put the viewer in a whole space, every molecule of which is chosen to convey the experience I design.
