This is really cool.  So, what's up with this sculpting tool?  Do you have to know how to sculpt IRL to use it?  I was really impressed when you said you could knock out a face in an hour - how cuz?  Could I do something like that in Blender, and, what's wrong with how I'm holding my tools?  Do I need a special mouse or something?  (I've only worked with meshes - should I try bones?)

I never sculpted IRL. Need to know anatomy to sculpt organics. I'm still learning. The more anatomy I learn, the easier it is to model, more methodical, a-b-c. Sculpting in dynatopo mode adds polys to the mesh where needed. Gives epic results down to tiny detail but the mesh you end up with is a fkin mess. Distorts and creases all funny when you use bones. First learn retopology. A bit like anatomy but using polygon flow to describe forms. I can speed-sculpt a face now, either with references or made up in my head, in about an hour. I practice doing that. The retopolgy takes me several hours. Then I need to model hipoly detail back in, on top of retopo'd mesh for normal/bump maps.

By all accounts is kinda bog standard workflow for game assets and/or posable meshes. The other way is build lowpoly, nicely topologised mesh from the git go but I prefer starting with a dynamic mesh. Plenty blender/z-brush sculpting vids on youtube. Principles are the same across both but there's more z-brush ones.

Cool.  Gonna check retopology.  I see the tools, have to figure how to hold them.  Using a trackpad is kinda messing with my flow *blames his tools* Ty for inspiring me to up my game.

Got my hand controllers tonight. Sculpting in VR is more awesome-the-absolute-fuck than anyone could possibly imagine. If I posted enough 's to describe how good this software is the intertubes would just back the fuck up and stop.

The robot face was particularly nifty! It's also awesome to see a new medium giving you an enthusiastic drive man! Those 3d creatures could already be posed for pics and or storytelling! This without seeing them in 3d!

The idea of scale for the tree house hit me. You could make it an item and "shrink" it pocket sized for transport.

I'll go one better, right in the middle of sculpting that I scaled it right the fuck up until I was the size a 5 year old would be then I got out of my chair, IRL while still in the rift and I sat down on the floor of that little treehouse with my legs crossed and marvelled at what the actual fuck I was doing
