There seems to be a thriving trade in human body parts from NATO troops in Afghanistan:

http://www.dw-world.de/dw/article/0,,2216412,00.html - skulls!
http://newsone.com/world/associatedpress3/u-s-soldiers-charged-with-collecting-fingers-of-dead-afghan-soldiers/ - fingers AND skulls!

Weird, I wonder what's going on with this sort of thing...

THough, I do recall a case of grave desecration in Fitchburg, MA a couple of years ago where some guy stole a skull from a cemetary and made it into an ashtray. Not a new thing but always wtf to hear about.

Ive heard of some guy breaking into a mortuary, ripping the head of somebody (some-body, get it? HAHA), later doing a head shriking sort of thing on it, and finally put it in an aquarium.

Now that is pretty messed up...

This seems to be a trophy thing, among the troops.  As far as I've read at least.  I know it's not exactly the same kind of trophy taking as, say, serial killers do, but it's close enough to make me think about what all these death squads are gonna do once their service is up.

Because deep down in our monkey brains -we know for a fact-  owning the skull of your enemy is owning his soul.

Richter

I like the idea, but I already have a skull (other than the occupied one).  It's a bottle formerly full of good vodka that perches on one of my ominously cluttered shelves.

I don't personally see anything wrong with keeping old body parts around.  This body part double standard drives me nuts too!  It's jsut fine to have my own medically extracted skeleton parts hanging around, but the moment I'm dead it becomes a crime?

Anyone ever think about how Richter inhabits the same reality as you and just scream and scream and scream, but in a good way?   :lulz:

Oh, this seriously worries me.
