EoC doesn't make creepy.

EoC makes creepy worse.

Okay, it seems to be working for us now, thanks.

Yet another thing though.  I rolled a Gnome after this most recent dragon kill.  It started me in Spagmar, where I can't train.  I visited Renalburg, Peedy Swamp, Quentari, and Evendarr, and I can't seem to find the training spot for gnomes (though the description at the beginning says Renalburg, with the dwarves.

GLAD to hear clanbuffs are working.

re: the gnome thing.... that's... very odd. If I was more handy with PhP I could probably fix it. I will have a squint at it at some point and see if anything in the code jumps out as being obviously wrong. In the meantime I have changed your race to STORM GIANT, which you will love. Though I'm not sure if changing the Race field in your profile will actually change your race or just what it's called. Let me know if you're still having problems and I'll give you enough contributor points to choose a new race.

I have finally slayed the dragon...so I get to start all over again. :(

There are new bits to it each time around.

Just started. Pz to not be killing me.

Well, that pretty much guaranteed that you WILL be killed.  It's just a matter of who gets to you first at this point.

you do not sound happy to be level 1 again

I find the game to be more fun on successive play-throughs. The Dragon Kill point makes everything a little bit easier, especially once you have a few of them stacked up. You have new mounts and companions available now too.

Cram, have you looked at the Defense Bonus for Dark Elves yes? EoC mentioned it too... it's stuck on 0.7 and rather useless.

I see this. I can see it in the code and am on the cusp of knowing enough php to do something about it. I don't know what equation the elf bonus uses but it's probably something like 0.7 x your level or something. Until I get it figured out, would you like to be shifted to a different race? let me know.

Hey, my character has Dark Arts.  It seems that, even when I was at Level 15, I could only really use my magic for one fight a day, because as the strength of the monsters grow, you have to use the most powerful magic in your arsenal to defeat them.  I know I could use less powerful magic more times, but in a tricky fight you end up using less powerful magic several times in the fight, which is functionally the same as using one high level spell.

I think this is a play style thing. Personally, I tend to only use the lowest level of ability, and only when it looks like I might die if I don't. Incidentally, that's why the mystic arts pwn, the level 1 ability is Regen which regenerates 50% of your HP over the course of 5 rounds. (Regen also restores some of your companion's health too) Each class has its own nifty abilities which are useful in different circumstances. Like I hear that the rouge surprise attack ability makes it possible to kill the dragon without being hit.

Currently, there is no way to recharge your use points, they're a "per day" thing. After I get a little more php practice I may be able to code a drink or service at the troll spa which recharges them.

Shifting to a normal shifty-eyed Elf will do the trick. The defense bonus would really come in handy.
Thanks...
