The bit I remember is that they parodied the original game by doing a comic about "American McGee's Strawberry Shortcake." The problem was that this was right around the time the Strawberry Shortcake brand was being relaunched, and the owners threatened to sue PA over harming their brand or whatever the fuck the lawyers came up with.

That's right, it was American Greetings they had the legal issue with, parodying American McGee and McFarlane toys.  (sure are a lot of Americans and Mc's in that mix) and I did see the recent revisit.

pirated this yesterday! playing through the first one that came bundled with it, really love it! psyched to start the sequel as well though
