Mojave, actually.  I just found a huge box of pics ranging from 1987-1996.  Some Panama stuff, some Desert Storm stuff, a bunch of NTC stuff.

Here's the arrogant look:

Here's the Bradley that didn't survive the NTC rotation:

Here's a later rotation, in a hummer which also did not make it:

Here's an old one.  1991, IIRC, just after Desert Storm, when it was apparently necessary to paint EVERYTHING IN THE ARMY babyshit yellow, even if you were in a swamp in upstate New York:

If anyone's interested, I seem to have photos of many of the vehicles I destroyed trained hard in.

My last 3 years was mechanized infantry.  I was getting too old for light infantry.  3 years, 3 NTC rotations.

You notice something about those pics?  I'm smiling in most of them.   As an 11B and then an 11M, I had fun in the army.  If I hadn't have wrecked my knee, I was shooting for 32 years enlisted.

Lemme scan 'em up.  Give me about a half hour to find some of them.  They're all bundled up in a box with some early pics of my kids.

CSM Horrible Bastard  :lulz: :lulz:
But seriously, the Army lost a very valuable NCO.
I almost went 11B, but only my left eye barely passed. I figured it would be a good idea if I kept my blind ass out the infantry.
