I think I hate Sarah Palin slightly more than my mother-in-law but it's really close.

If she truly is elected in 2012 even god won't be able to help us.  :x

She's a fucking fruitcake.

They called her one of the shrewdest political minds in the US on some idiot morning show this morning.  I threw up a little in my mouth.

Then again, that's really not saying all that much.

As far as I can tell the GOP most certainly does not want Palin winning a Presidential primary in '12. It would be disasterous for them as things are now.

Yeah, the smartest thing is to give Obama another six years in which to discredit himself, the Democrats and liberalism, while the GOP sit on the sidelines and throw peanuts attempt to obstruct him as much as possible.

It's what I'd do.  I even suggested in 2006 and 2008 that the Dems should throw the elections, just to let the GOP discredit themselves entirely.

at this point I'm hoping that the democratic party fractures and splits, much like the tea party is doing to the GOP

they need some new energy

Not gonna happen.  They have cohesion, just no balls.

Yep, sadly they just keep blaming all the problems on everyone else.  :horrormirth:

The Dems have had the Netroots since 2003, the "progressives" who used primary challenges and money-bombs to try and make the Democratic Party more left-leaning and progressive.  The Tea Party are, in many respects, the mirror-opposite of the Netroots, except they actually leave their basements occasionally.

Also the Netroots are essentially cowards, who couldn't even bring themselves to call out Obama.  The Tea Party is far more vicious and less forgiving than they are.

Real Socialists have been doing that for years, but no one listens to them. Green Party could try that but we're too polite and part of our shtick is "these assholes just sling mud at each other and try to get you to think that there's much difference between them instead of actually getting stuff done." But no one listens to that either.

Jill Stein got 1% last night, btw, which is not surprising.

Balls.  What they DID was act as if they were the minority party.  So now they are the minority party.

But that's a great Teabagger quote.
