That accent sounds like an accent to me, because it's my accent and it always startles me when I hear myself recorded. You can tell it's a Northwest accent because it's draggy on the consonants.

But I'm from the southwest, and that the accent I've had since I was kid. Mostly. I think I slur some of my consonants more than I used to. But I don't even associated with native Norwesterners that much.

That doesn't sound even slightly like a California accent.

Well I was in speech therapy in first grade for 's' and 'th' sounds.
