About Kennedy Plaza. They're back. And I've seen and heard some of the Horrible Truthâ„¢ of Providence.

I called you yesterday, not out of fear of my life, but more or less to add to the weirdness, but I think today I broke brains.

*on phone*

Me: "Ugh, I got a horrible canker sore starting. It's popping open already and I can feel it spreading onto my lip, it's gonna be a damn fever blister."

GS: "Well, I'm not fucking kissing you anytime soon."

Me:  Yeah.  I have the Herpes, you can catch it.

GS: Yes, but not THAT Herpes.

Me: No, it's still Herpes, dude. Herpes. *Look toward a guy standing nearby* Cold sores are Herpes.

GS: And now you're going to go home and post on the PD boards that you have Herpes?

Me: Yes. I have Herpes.

*finish conversation*

*I put my music back on and notices as the shady figure next to me got a bit closer after I put my wallet back in my bag once I pulled out my bus money.*

"HERP A DERP!" I squeak, and walk over to my berth.

...I was left alone for the rest of the 10 minutes I had to stand there.

Oh, and then on the bus I overheard a faboo one-sided phone convo that involved a woman basically saying this, "You know what you gotta do? Tell dem you pregnant, then you can get more money. And den when day ax you where da baby is, you tell dem you lost it."

It's the 1800's again, I'm telling you.  No pretense, no pride, just weirdness, carny barkers, snake oil, gambling, and gunslinging.

Anyone ever think about how Richter inhabits the same reality as you and just scream and scream and scream, but in a good way?   :lulz:

Providence returned to the 1800s after the 1938 hurricane when the population cut in half and never recovered. I guess getting 25ft of water thrown into the streets of downtown within a matter of seconds scared a lot of people off.

Yeah, and now everything else is catching up.  Have you seen the boots they're wearing out in foster/glouster?  You've seen the furtive weirdness downtown.  People are abut to manifest destiny again, and the big pie they're about to dig into is each other.

...Do I willingly go to Foster/Gloucester?!  That desolate corner of the state is nothing more than a short cut to Central Connecticut...All the roads are named after town and cities in CT, and will (or did at one time) take you to them without passing go or collecting $200...
