In about 1 hour south Korea plans on running some millitary exercises. Best Korea isnt to happy about that and is promising "catastrophic" results if they go through with it.

Most of South Korea's population is in scud-missile range of the North.  Living in high-rise apartments.  You don't need to be a genius to do the maths.

Constant tension is the name of this game.  Either side escalates too badly, everyone loses.

Edit: I'm glad people like Glittersnatch weren't around during the Cold War.  I don't know how they would've dealt with 60 YEARS of near constant tension between nuclear armed powers.  FFS, calm down, you sound like a foreign correspondent, or similarly uninformed person.
