The 40th day from Easter, always a Thursday, is Jesus Ascension Day, when he zoomed off to space. So we get that day off.

The 50th day from Easter is Pentacost, always a Sunday, but we get the Monday after that off as well--called "Second Pentacost Day". This one is also space related, in the sense that the Disciples had a littlebit too much spacecake on the Sunday and were tripping balls. So we get the Monday off.

10/11 June is also out for me, that's actually my buddy's wedding. Jesus that's going to be a hell of a month! Going to vegas, then a wedding, then meeting you spags... then a larp... then on the fourth weekend, cram rested. Kick ass!

It makes sense—you guys want to meet the most pd.com spags possible, and they're just in a higher density on the Wrong Coast.

On the West Coast we're spattered across a much larger area (from Tuscon to Seattle) which would involve a lot more travel and expenses.

When discussing options, it came up that Zip is not licensed to drive, and that his girlfriend didn't want to drive, in that case, the West Coast is a terrible idea, especially since they haven't seen American roads in action yet. The Northeast at least has a very widespread and efficient mass transportation system that's at least CLOSE to what they have in Europe and there's all sorts of perks and tours they can get for being a foreign tourist that even us Americans can't touch (I would KILL for the deals they can get on Amtrak.) I guarantee there's some sort of organized tour on a bus that goes from Manhattan to Washington that's entirely Dutch, for example. (Just as Americans can get tours overseas.) I've really never found that kind of package out West except for in the LA area, and there's no way we're letting him go to Los Angeles just yet. *I* won't even go there unless I'm drugged, bagged, and dragged.
