I think I mostly missed the thread for this because I was in the breakup doldrums. What's the dealio? Is a writing project?

Yep.  It's 6 of us blogging inside of our specialty, with respect to the 21st century.

The 7th author is "guest", and is selected by Freeky once per week.

This ain't PD, by the way.  Comments are moderated for relevance.  We're not going to have a repeat of the EGfaBT debacle.

I would assume those who have not been invited to be authors could still sign up, which would allow them to bypass any major moderation issues and comment on the site freely, but could not post front page articles (unless they were guest author of the week).

If you are gonna be an author, please sign up and then shoot Freeky and I a PM so we can assign you to your category :)

Also, if you want to write a synopsis of your category and include some kind of image (either author pic or some image that will fit with your category) get us the content :)
