This is why nicking off the shelf software is generally a good idea: their customisability is low, but they tend to be simple and work.

I didn't see "publish" or "post", just a whole bunch of options. But Charley and LMNO were able to post so I must have screwed something up.

Yeah, my registration doesn't seem to be working.

I tried regging myself and the site stalled, didn't reg me, but then decided it would say my username is in use and so not let me sign up with it.

I'm starting to question the judgement of this.  For half an hour's work, I could get a blog up on Wordpress which would have full support, better connection speed and no registration issues.

Yeah. Is it really the best idea to do this from scratch when there are so many skills needed to really pull it off? I mean, I understand the reasoning from a copyright and independence/anonymity standpoint, but if the server is crashing so easily and the software is hard to use, is it really feasible over the long term?

We could probably set something up at the Bar, where only certain people could start threads in one forum, but others could comment on them. I still haven't been able to see Kai's post yet.
