News:

There are two novels that can change a bookish fourteen-year old's life: The Lord of the Rings and Atlas Shrugged. One is a childish fantasy that often engenders a lifelong obsession with its unbelievable heroes, leading to an emotionally stunted, socially crippled adulthood, unable to deal with the real world. The other, of course, involves orcs.

WTF.  :lulz: My favorite part is that someone had to think this up.

the wikipedia article explains:

QuoteAccording to Six, the concept of the film arose from a joke he made with friends about punishing child molesters by stitching their mouths to the anus of a "fat truck driver".

Wow...
"I'm guessing it was January 2007, a meeting in Bethesda, we got a bag of bees and just started smashing them on the desk," Charles Wick said. "It was very complicated."

I am amazed that they were able to stretch that concept out into a 90 minute movie.

I saw an extended trailer for this.  I was impressed with the attention to detail with this depravity.

... cat toys?

You HAD to post there were cat toys.

Now I've gotta unplug my keyboard every time I leave the house so my damn cats don't order one of those abominations when I'm not looking.  They will, you know...  Fortunately, no opposable thumbs, so they can't plug the keyboard or mouse back in when I'm not looking.

Had to come up with SOMETHING.  The catnip bills were getting outrageous.

I was between awe and hysterical laughter the whole time. But I'm a little funny when it comes to gore. Ive laughed the same way watching surgery videos in school.

edit: actually I'm going to go with Luna's suggestion: don't click the link. even though it's just a textual description of a horror movie, the imagery has been haunting my mind all day :|

Laughin Jude

I watched it on Netflix a few weeks ago. It was disappointingly lame.

The Plain and Honest Truth - A semi-Discordian serial novel about 9/11, the Iraq War, aliens, the origins of Western religion and an evil sock puppet from another dimension

Thurnez Isa

It's a movie solely based on a premise. So once you get over the premise there really isn't that much there beyond that.
It's watchable - though loses a lot on multiple viewings.
I think the major problem was they gave away the plot in the trailer so if you saw the trailer (which for small productions like this is almost a must) the shock value was lost. Also the third act felt hacked together.

Sorry for the thread jack here but as for dutch horror movies...
"Amsterdamned" is a pretty good though stereotypical serial killer movie. Worth checking out,
also "De Lift" sounds ridicules and it is, but it's also kind of fun in that 80's VHS horror way too (don't get the remake "Down", it sucks).
Also I have to admit "The Johnson's" is a guilty pleasure of mine, though not particularly good it is probably my favorite Dutch horror.
"Necrophobia" has it's cult following and I could see why. It's interesting for sure, unfortunately the movie suffers from it's lack of any budget.
Also check out "Sint" or "Saint" (?) Came out last year, not really good but hilarious cause it has Saint Nicholas going around killing children :lulz:
I haven't seen "Two Eyes Staring", though I heard it's a decent little ghost story, and I like ghost stories. I think it was actually part of a TV series in Holland that got a release on it's own. I don't know much about it cause I haven't seen it. Only heard of it.
