I'm sick
therefore I can't drink or do anything fun
So you all can go fuck yourselves!
:argh!:
Through me the way to the city of woe, Through me the way to everlasting pain, Through me the way among the lost.
Justice moved my maker on high.
Divine power made me, Wisdom supreme, and Primal love.
Before me nothing was but things eternal, and eternal I endure.
Abandon all hope, you who enter here.

Isn't that when you guys have the big military parade with the missile launchers and shit, and everyone has to go?

Ah.  That explains why they march that way.

They are probably too busy bitching about the explosive instructions not being in french.

They have two.

The other one is "Boxing Day", where they force old ladies to fight bare-knuckled, and bet on them.

Unfortunately there doesn't look like there may be an assassination attempt. Though the thought of the opposite of the "kiss their ass" reception they got in Ontario makes me giddy.

QuoteThe word "militant," in French, is used to describe a political activist who supports vigorous action.

"It will be more modest than what is prepared for Quebec, clearly," Bourgeois said of the Montreal protest.

"It's not the type of action where we're calling people to join us. It's an action strictly for our members.

"We're preparing just a little wink, a kind of royal escort, if you wish," he added.

Bourgeois said he prefers to keep specific details under wraps. However, he has already said he enlisted burly supporters to act as muscle over the weekend — to keep the protests from getting out of hand.

In 2009, Bourgeois' organization led an anti-monarchy demonstration during a visit to Montreal by Prince Charles and Camilla.

The protest delayed their arrival at a military ceremony by about a half-hour, and Charles and Camilla had to enter through a back door because of the raucous demonstrators.

The group also helped block the planned 2009 re-enactment of the Battle of the Plains of Abraham and has protested the performance of Anglo songs at Quebec's Fete nationale holiday.

Bourgeois said he has no problem with the royals, personally, but he believes it's his duty to demonstrate to the world that many Quebecers resent the institution and do not accept its legitimacy.

He said such a message would be lost if William and Kate managed to spend two days in Quebec without any disruption.

Fess up, it's just a fancy way of saying Moose Trebuchet, right?

All iron curtain nations have them.  It's pretty much a requirement.

Hmm.... sounds as barbaric as bullfighting and just as necessary to watch.

Oh well, at least that's something.

Also, heh.  A "militant" called Bourgeois.  I bet he got picked on by every other kid at Militant French-Canadian School.
