hur hur, did a little research. shows Dr. Howl and TGRR podcasts look surprisingly similar on youtube.  Got suspicious when you shit on those kids in the FB group boyo, references to the 70's gave it away.  Nice one.  *hats off*

AKK, as I told you, TGRR died on the throne as some horrible let down after a truly epic shit.  He was a victim of his own rage & blood pressure, though Nigel & Sister Gothique must shoulder a good chunk of the blame.  They are bad people and bad citizens, and they left him to die in the rain¹.

Problem with TGRR was, he wanted to help people, but they never, ever listened.  So he just rolled over and died, when all the bile and hate and screaming was over.  He, like Curly, tried to show folks that there was a better way to live than wrapping themselves in self-absorption and trained emotions².  His theory was sound, but his methodology was fatally flawed.

I have read his notes, and it occurs to me that this sort of benevolent care for monkeys is a losing proposition...So I am here to try it a different way, which is to say I do SCIENCE to people.  It also doesn't work very well, but I get my kicks, and that's what really matters.

It is my own humble opinion that if you can't find something to admire in just about any type of music, you've failed miserably as a human.  Every song?  No.  Every artist?  No.  But rejecting an entire genre of music?  Fail.

About the trolling, I wouldn't hold your breath.  Trolling pd is the same as trolling b, you're just pissing into a river of shit declaring it makes a difference, when it doesn't.  Besides I haven't been trolling in a while.  I don't do it so much anymore as it takes a significant lolcow to hold my attention.  Not that matters, it isn't the troll that is funny, it's the reaction.  It still might haopen though, depending upon noob density.  If someone gets significantly butt hurt over nothing and I am egging them on, then you can be confident I am trolling them.  I'd like to thinkmost of the ladies and gentleman present know how to barrel roll though, so chances are probably on the slimmer side.  There is one mook I am presently dispatching but he's not incredibly interesting.  Just some threats of violence over the net and caught lying proven with pics repeatedly.  If I get anything epic I will be sure to share with pd.

Point.  I have given Country a couple tries, but probably not the attention it deserves.  I just dislike the style in general.

Although I must say, my best friend forced me to listen to "Dont take the girl" by, I think, Tim McGraw a long time ago, and I found that song beautiful.

It might just be location though, as there are many dumbfucks around here that pretend to be Country or Cowboy, having lived entirely in Wisconsin, and most of them are unoriginal uninteresting stupid assholes.  With one exception, there's a country singer from Nashville that used to pay me to fix his computer, and him and his wife would often pay by giving a private performance to my then-girlfriend and I, and while I usually dislike country, everything those two sang was extremely beautiful and heart-rendingly amazing.  You could tell that singing for us was not payment to them, it was pure loving pleasure.  They were the most inspiring mutually-in-love old couple I've ever met.

So yes, upon giving it a little more thought, you are absolutely correct, the potential for merit exists in every genre.
