A lot of people have suggested April might be better. That is reasonable! I just don't want to push it to next summer, because I wanna take a vacation already!

Oh, and Enabler and I - and possibly TGG - WILL be making it to England before the end of 2012.

Fuck england, there's fuck all there but crap food and people with silly accents. Come to scotland - we're just up the road and we can show you a party that your internal organs will never forget*!

I believe that train time from London to Edinburgh is around 5 hours.

Book the tickets weeks in advance though, or else it may be cheaper to just fly to Scotland.  Not even joking.

If you book in advance and go with Easyjet, you can get tickets for as low as £20, and be there within an hour and a half.

East Coast Hustle

I'll have enough frequent flyer miles for that trip by then, but I've already decided I'm saving my miles for a free flight to Brisbane, where our chief engineer & his wife have a house that sits empty most of the year and that I can stay in for free while I'm there.

So, Aussie spags, keep in mind that sometime in the next year or so I'll be calling for one of these meetups in upsidedownland.

Also, we should do one of these in STT someday, if anyone's got the stones for that.

That sounds more like a plan.

There's also less chance of rabid scotsmen eating the train halfway there.

They try to get to the airplanes, too, but the mountains only go up so high.

Did a quick check.  From Luton Airport in London to Endinbugh, in September 2012 - £25.99 for two adults.  That's returning the next day.

Just to give you a better idea of the prices.

I'm very interested, and might even be able to get funds. Depending when my spring break is and all, I'd love to meat meet you spags!
