TESTEMONAIL:  Right and Discordianism allows room for personal interpretation. You have your theories and I have mine. Unlike Christianity, Discordia allows room for ideas and opinions, and mine is well-informed and based on ancient philosophy and theology, so, my neo-Discordian friends, open your minds to my interpretation and I will open my mind to yours. That's fair enough, right? Just claiming to be discordian should mean that your mind is open and willing to learn and share ideas. You guys are fucking bashing me and your laughing at my theologies and my friends know what's up and are laughing at you and honestly this is my last shot at putting a label on my belief structure and your making me lose all hope of ever finding a ideological group I can relate to because you don't even know what the fuck I'm talking about and everything I have said is based on the founding principals of real Discordianism. Expand your mind.

I gotta say, your two explanatory posts were well put enough that I almost feel like a jerk for calling you a whiner about the OP. I say "almost" because without the subsequent conversation I would still interpret the OP that way. Not 100% sure whether that's because it's too vague about making your point or because I'm just wired to slant it that way in my own mind.

I still disagree about the "everybody makes the team" post but as far as what you're saying about access to and engagement in the educational process I think you've won me over for the most part. I'm still instinctively drawn to the "screw you losers, I figured it out and thrived so why can't you?" mode of thought but now I'm gonna try to start keeping that in check when it creeps too close to the forefront and realize that my instinctive attitude is probably not conducive to the well-being of our society as a whole.

Some yahoo yelled at me, saying 'GIVE ME LIBERTY OR GIVE ME DEATH', and I thought, "I'm feeling generous today.  Why not BOTH?"

np.  There's a sweet spot where I'm uninhibited enough to hit the post button, but still coherent enough to write what I mean to say.  I don't think I hit it in the first post.  :)
