I like the fuck out of this shit. I hope it accomplishes the purpose of actually making people ask the questions "Who am I?" and "What is Them?" because those are both really good questions, and they have answers. Really good concrete ones, as a matter of fact.

The text from the image in the OP comes from the Black Iron Prison, a book put out by the PD board a couple years ago to try to make Discordianism make sense to a generation that doesn't have a lot of patience for pot smoking hippies. I enjoyed many of the essays from that book so much that I incorporated them into my personal Holy Book^TM, for which I did a lot of new layout and design work. In this case, I took some liberties with the capitalization.

Some of the folks who've been here longer can give you a better idea of what they meant by "The Con."

I wouldn't get that edition; it looks like they've stripped all the illustrations out, and the illustrations are a vital part of the book. Maybe a UK spag can help with recommending a better edition? Syn's version is the best: http://www.amazon.com/Principia-Discordia-Magnum-Malaclypse-Younger/dp/1846856043/ref=sr_1_4?ie=UTF8&qid=1330189068&sr=8-4 but is out of print.

You can get a great, cheap version on Lulu, but shipping can be the killer there.
