Thank fuck the internet protested against this draconian bullshit. Sites like WIKIPEDIA stood up for all our rights and a movement was overturned which threatened to destroy our freedoms and shit. Now we can sleep soundly in our beds at night knowing that shit like THIS can never happen.

Remember kiddies - every single file you share costs the industry $175billion and at least a dozen artists starve to death, right then and there, the second you click "download".

I'm up to my arse in Brexit Numpties, but I want more.  Target-rich environments are the new sexy.

I have no problem with legitimate copyright protection.

But that's not what SOPA was all about.  SOPA was all about giving various law enforcement agencies the right to shut down websites with no oversight...And also making copyright violation a legal matter, instead of a civil matter.

Keep in mind that what SOPA legalizes is already being done. Now, were SOPA to pass, there would be more tolerance for (say) the FBI to perform other similar operations that are nominally illegal on account of it being just over the line of what they are legally allowed to do, just as there hasn't been a huge backlash about this.

The irony of taking away the domain someone paid for in the interest of protecting names someone else paid for nonwithstanding, of course.
