Wow!  How can I be as Discordian as them?

I mean, targeting other Discordians with mass-spam as trolling sounds like the absolute height of thinking for yourself.

Luckily I don't think trolling people on the Internet has any bearing on whether or not you're a good Discordian. What a relief, right?  I'd hate to think that nigel's hilarious "Add everybody you know to this FB group" FB group, or our goth poetry trolls, or any number of irritating pranks we've pulled over the years, makes us bad Discordians.

That's a relief, all right.  Because after your earlier post about how funny they all thought it was to make Twid angry (I was with you until that point), I wish to be every bit as good at Discordianism as they are.

I can see crams point to a degree. But largely i still think it was a waste of everyones time and was energy that could have been used better elsewhere.

I mean- we generally ban people here for spamming and consider it a very lazy form of trolling right? I dont see how it would be different of fb but hey if it gets discordians calling other discordians cabbages then maybe it was successful if thats what their aim was. I dont know. Theyre not people i would risk talking to at this point since my fb serves another purpose than to have it blown up with spam.

This is why I'm going to use a bunch of different accounts.

I mean, it's great to pointlessly fuck with other Discordians, and then laugh about it amongst ourselves when they get pissed...Or at least so I am told.

So I'm going to be the very best Discordian that I can be.

You know, I have this cellular phone service, right?  And they have advertisements going for way better deals than the deal I have, but they always end the ads with "New customers only; current customers not eligible".  This is because they already have me, so they can take me for granted.  New business is not AS important as established customers, it is MORE important.  In fact, it seems that I - as an existing customer - don't count at all.

I'm having that same feeling now.

I think you missed the point - I am not saying that good Discordians troll other Discordians.

I'm saying that Discordia has no "proper way to act", so we can't call them bad Discordians based on sending out some FB event invites.

Twid says that after all that noise, he doesn't think they're funny and he doesn't want to collaborate with them. This is a perfectly normal reaction and I have no problem with that. You don't need a religious high ground to dismiss them. Their being jerks is enough. Their relationship with Discordia doesn't even play into it.

Nephew Twiddleton

I gotta admit- i cant see them finding it as funny if they were on the other side of it.

Okay, they fucked with Twid - who has never, IIRC, offered offense to anyone - until he left.  Then they all had a good laugh at his expense.  Then Twid is the bad guy for being angry about it.

I can adjust to this new morality.  I mean, I've fucked with plenty of noobs when they came in posting like the OP, but I haven't spent much time fucking with noobs that come in acting in a civil fashion (QG, Pix, you, Payne, etc, etc).  I'm still not going to here, because I don't wish to experiment where I typically post.

I just love the idea of intercine fighting between Discordian groups.  It's really very simple...If you don't get along with a Discordian group (FB, MS, whatever), don't go there.  On the other hand, getting bent out of shape because of criticism over a Discordian group is kind of funny, too...Because it sounds like the FB group caters to a different type of Discordian than PD does.  Some people may enjoy both, most people will probably prefer one to the other.

That being said, you're ALL a bunch of cunts.  Only *I* know the One True Path of Discordianism.  In this, I am like the Buddha.  Which means at least one of you should have killed me by now.  It's "If you meet the Buddha, kill the Buddha", not "If you meet the Bhudda, let him linger on in frustration for 9 years and then never get around to finishing him off".

And I think we all need to be a hell of a lot more defensive about all this shit, because blindly lashing out at anyone who threatens our intellectual/ideological turf is what being a Discordian is all about.

Or...Well, you know.

Form a schismatic group and denounce you as a Bad Discordian?

Hey- i was nice enough even then. I gave them a heads up that any further invites would be reported and the user blocked.

This also amused them.

I was reacting to this:

QuoteIt was a GREAT troll. One of the most successful troll projects I've seen Discordians do. Your degree of annoyance (a year later) is proof.

So if it's a GREAT projects, because Twid got upset, then it should be a GREAT project if we return the favor.

Or is it that Twid's being annoyed somehow doesn't count?  This isn't a jab, Cramulus, I'm honestly trying to understand what the standards are here.

You said it was the most successful trolling project ever done by Discordians.

I am just trying to figure out how we can better ourselves, given their enormous "success" at fucking with a guy (Twid) who never intentionally causes anybody any trouble at all.

Frankly, Cram, I've gone from a neutral position on them, to thinking of them as a pack of absolute shitcakes.
